Art therapy Personal Statement
I believe that creativity has the power to heal, connect, and transform. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist with 19 years of experience, I offer a warm, personalized therapeutic experience that blends traditional psychotherapy with the creative process.
I provide a supportive space where clients can slow down, reflect, and explore life’s challenges through both conversation and creative expression. Art therapy offers a unique way to access emotions, gain insight, and foster growth—no artistic experience or talent is required. Whether through art-making, mindfulness practices, or traditional talk therapy, sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.
I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, grief, relationship challenges, and personal growth. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative, helping clients cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Visual Arts from Boston University and my Master’s degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic environment that feels welcoming, creative, and deeply attuned to each person’s unique story.
