Judi Shields specializes in guiding seniors and their families through one of life’s biggest questions: whether it makes more sense to stay in the home they know or move on to the next stage of living. Her background as an Occupational Therapist working with senior clients in assisted living communities, nursing homes, and rehab centers gives her a unique lens on this work, understanding mobility, safety, and comfort in the home, and bringing that same care to every transition she guides. She holds the Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation from the National Association of Realtors, specialized training in the financial, legal, and emotional issues that come with helping older adults buy, sell, or age in place, from understanding reverse mortgages and long-term care considerations to working with families through the sensitivities of downsizing.
As a Realtor and Team Leader of the Ciment & Shields Team, Judi coordinates every piece of the process for her clients: decluttering and organizing, contractors, cleaners, movers, appraisers, and settlement, so families can focus on each other instead of logistics. She helps empty and prepare homes with sensitivity to the memories and prized possessions inside them, overseeing repairs, painting, cleaning, and other work needed to get a home ready for the market. Judi also works closely with bereaved families and adult children, helping them sell a parent’s home and taking the stress off their shoulders during an emotional time. As a real estate sales person, she leverages a trusted network of staging companies, contractors, estate planning attorneys, home inspectors, and other industry experts to help her clients make confident, informed decisions.
