Deatrice J. Clark

Movement Specialist, Integrative Wellness Practitioner, NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Deatrice Clark is a Movement Specialist, Integrative Wellness Practitioner, and NASM Certified Personal Trainer dedicated to helping people reconnect with their bodies through intentional movement. She believes movement is more than exercise; it is an opportunity to reduce stress, build confidence, cultivate resilience, and support overall well-being.

Originally from Los Angeles and now based in Washington, D.C., Deatrice earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Howard University, where she developed a strong foundation in human growth, behavior, and connection. She combines this understanding with years of experience in professional dance, group fitness, and wellness education to create movement experiences that are welcoming, accessible, and empowering.

Drawing from her background as a professional dancer with Step Afrika!, certified personal trainer, and movement educator, Deatrice integrates dance, functional strength training, rhythm, mobility, mindfulness, and joyful movement to support the connection between the mind and body. Her approach encourages participants to move with intention, reconnect with themselves, and discover the confidence, resilience, and freedom that movement can bring.

In addition to teaching movement classes, Deatrice is also a Reiki Practitioner, bringing a holistic perspective to her work and honoring the connection between the mind, body, and overall well-being. She believes intentional

movement can be a meaningful complement to an individual’s wellness journey, helping people slow down, reconnect, and cultivate sustainable practices that support lifelong health.

At the heart of Deatrice’s work is a simple belief: when people feel safe and supported in their bodies, they create greater capacity for growth, resilience, and well-being. Through movement, education, and holistic wellness practices, she strives to create experiences that inspire confidence, encourage self-discovery, and empower individuals to care for themselves from the inside out.
